We are Searching South for Buddies!

Finding a community in London can be tricky. We have you covered. Gig Buddies Croydon is searching for people who want to build genuine connections, go to seriously cool events, and help make our social scene accessible for all.

Gig Buddies are the heartbeat of Croydon’s inclusive culture scene, we love South London and we love to party!

As a Gig Buddy, you’ll be matched with someone in our borough who has a learning disability and/or autism to go out and enjoy the scene you both love, together! A chance to make a new pal and someone to spend your free evenings with!

Your involvement ensures that every member of our community gets to access the culture Croydon and beyond has to offer.

Create genuine friendships and join a community of radical party people changing London’s social scene.

Life in Croydon moves fast, and we get that! We think Gig Buddies is the most rock’n’roll way to volunteer and fits around your busy schedule.

What makes a good Gig Buddy?

  • Be over 18
  • Live in Croydon, or the surrounding area
  • Cool, calm and collected under pressure
  • Love meeting new people
  • Are kind, patient, and friendly with a cracking sense of humour
  • Believe that people with learning disabilities should have the right to make their own choices about how they live their lives!

Be part of the fun, help us change Croydon for the better and make heaps of friends along the way…

“My buddy and I have a genuine friendship. I love spending time with her, chatting, laughing and dancing the night away at gigs, group socials or casual catch ups. It’s also great to feel part of a wider community of amazing people.”
